The Coconut March – I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts - was written in 1944 by Fred Heatherton, an English songwriter, and celebrates coconutshy (coconut toss) at fairs. The song is used in several movies and performed by artists as Danny Kaye and Ringo Starr. The recording by Merv Griffin and Freddie Martin has sold millions of copies around the world.
