Deze Italiaanse song, vertaald als 'Time to say Goodbye', is bekend geworden door de vertolking van de Italiaanse (Toscaanse) blinde tenor Andrea Bocelli, die dank zij Luciano Pavarotti in de internationale muziekscène terechtkwam, nadat hij het 'Miserere' van Zucchero vertolkt had.Ook de versie van Sarah Brightman bracht heel wat bij tot de internationale populariteit van het lied dat veel van een opera-aria weg heeft. Willy Hautvast maakte, gewoontegetrouw, een knap en goed in het gehoor liggend arrangement voor harmonieorkest.
